What to expect

Images are fitted without stretching, so their original proportions remain intact.

Quality and file behaviour

  • Source images are embedded directly and fitted without geometric distortion.
  • Transparent PNG areas appear over the white PDF page.
  • JPEG data is embedded as supplied; PNG data is encoded in the PDF document.

Common problems

  • Exceptionally large image dimensions can exceed available browser memory.

Will a portrait image be stretched onto a landscape page?

No. The image is scaled proportionally and centred within the available page area.

Can I combine PNG and JPEG images?
