What to expect

Quality and file behaviour

  • The source page remains vector-based and text watermarks are drawn with an embedded font.
  • The selected opacity is applied without flattening the existing page artwork.
  • The PDF structure is rewritten without intentionally recompressing existing page images.

Common problems

  • Encrypted PDFs cannot be changed, and an image watermark must be a valid PNG or JPEG.

Does the watermark replace the original PDF?

No. A new PDF is generated for download and the selected source document remains unchanged on your device.

Can a watermark prevent copying or editing?

No. It is a visible page mark, not digital-rights management or cryptographic document protection.
