What to expect
Presets are preparation aids, not official approval. Verify the current dimensions, head position and background rules with the receiving authority.
Where the browser provides local face geometry it can suggest a crop; numeric head-guide controls remain available for manual correction.
Quality and file behaviour
- The exported pixels are validated against the chosen target dimensions.
- The JPEG output is opaque. A chosen colour fills transparent source areas but does not remove an existing background.
- The prepared crop and any print sheet are newly encoded image outputs.
Common problems
- Automatic face geometry may be unavailable or inaccurate, so every suggested crop must be reviewed.
Frequently asked questions
Does this guarantee that an authority will accept my photo?
No. It prepares dimensions and layout locally, but rules can change and acceptance depends on the receiving authority.
Is my portrait sent to a face-detection service?
No. Optional browser face geometry and all image composition happen on this device without a portrait upload endpoint.
