What to expect
Standard is intended for screens, Sharp doubles each page dimension, and Print uses a higher scale with a clear memory warning.
Every page is rasterised, so searchable text and vector shapes become pixels in the downloaded image.
Quality and file behaviour
- Resolution presets control the actual raster dimensions rather than changing only a file label.
- Rendered pages use a white page background in PNG, JPEG and WebP output.
- PDF page artwork is rasterised and encoded in the selected image format.
Common problems
- Print resolution on large or numerous pages can exceed the browser's image-memory limit.
Frequently asked questions
Why are several page images downloaded as a ZIP?
A ZIP keeps the locally generated page images together and allows one deliberate browser download instead of many prompts.
Will text remain selectable in the images?
No. Rendering creates pixels. Keep the original PDF when searchable or selectable text is important.
